The rattlesnake was always favorite symbol of our founders, and dates back to Franklin’s iconic Join or Die icon. But in 1775, when Gadsden led the Sons of Liberty in South Carolina, the flag with the coiled timber rattlesnake and the motto “Do Not Tread on Me,” became the ultimate symbol of patriotism and revolution.
Today, Anti-American douchebags are trying to ban the Gadsden Flag. They’ve tried to use the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to try to ban the flag in the workplace — apparently celebrating our freedom is now discriminatory.
